Words for Beginning Readers
Ten teachers and their classes are creating this web site to share their quest to find good books, poems, and little stories that show lots of "high frequency" words. Every grade one class is busy learning those 100 or so words that occur in almost every text. The teachers know that children will learn the words more easily if they are linked to good literature while they are practicing the skills. We invite the world to help us search for good books to help us with our learning. If you find a really good story that uses one of the words below, please send us the title, author and ISBN number.
